Wilderness Cottage Wedding Package

The Wilderness Cottage is ideally located, 25 km from the city center, nestled in the tranquil Arctic forest on the shores of the Raudanjoki River. Situated within the Arctic Circle hiking area, it offers one of the most scenic natural sights in Rovaniemi. The cottage is a 400-meter walk from the parking area, with no access for cars or other vehicles.

The ceremony will take place inside the Wilderness Cottage, next to the large open fireplace. As a true wilderness retreat, the building has no running water or electricity. The venue will be beautifully adorned with dozens of candles on the tables. A festive meal can be served for small groups of up to 30 people, prepared over the fire right before your eyes. Option for an outdoor ceremony on the river ice.

There are numerous wonderful photo opportunities for an outdoor photoshoot before or after the ceremony, including the option of a short reindeer ride. The cottage is part of a resort located at the gateway of the hiking area, offering the possibility to stay overnight before and after the wedding.

  • This venue is ideal for a small wedding or if you want to bring along your close friends and family. The cottage can fit up to 30 people sitting in 5 tables. For the groups over 15 people we recommend to have the ceremony taking place outdoors at the river ice behind the cottage.

  • This venue is not recommended for people with mobility issues, as it requires approximately 400m walk along the snowy path. No access by car or any other vehicles.
