Flash Mob Concert in Santa Claus Village

Santa Claus Village is a magical village located on top of the Polar Arctic Circle line. Santa spends his time at Santa Claus Office every day of the year to take care of his mission in life: to enhance the well-being of children and the kindness of grown-ups, as well as spread the message of love and goodwill and the Christmas Spirit across the globe. The village is located eight kilometres north of Rovaniemi city centre. Here you can jump over the Arctic Circle and enjoy the presence of all kinds of magical creatures such as Santa’s elves and reindeer.

 
 
 

The village is especially delightful during the winter months, when thousands of Christmas lights create a fairy-tale atmosphere in the dark. Our flash mob includes a small surprise concert by a talented young artist ONEVIOLIN. ONEVIOLIN is an artist breaking boundaries between different music genres and preconceptions with his internationally new concept - making cover-versions from global hit-songs using sounds from only one violin. Everything from the drums to the melody is created entirely with the artist's violin.

While you are enjoying the Santa Claus Village, the modern violin music suddenly starts. It is possible to request a playlist of desired love songs important for you and your partner. The performer walks out from the hiding place and suddenly it is clear the flash mob concert is an ode for your love. You can pop the question right there in the middle of this amazing atmosphere.

  • The person behind ONEVIOLIN is Pekka Niemi, a 28 year old Finnish violinist who studied in London at the Royal College of Music, one of the worlds most prestigious conservatoires. Since a young age he has been working internationally as a violinist, songwriter and string producer.

    In the spring of 2020 ONEVIOLIN took part in Finland's Got Talent finishing as the runner-up in the Finals. His performance in the Finals was a mashup of the biggest Finnish hits and consisted of a breathtaking 1,500 tracks of violin.
